We add fifteen minutes for a consultation before anything gets cut — how you wear it, how it grows, how often you can get back in. Select the first-time option when booking so the session is yours in full. First visit is 20% off, so let us know it's your first time.

Alexis started cutting hair out of his garage and the school parking lot. From there it was shop chairs, where he sharpened the craft and worked his way up to managing the floor. When the world shut down in 2020, he refused to let it slow him down — he moved to Los Angeles and opened his own private studio. That stretch is when everything changed: one chair, one reputation, one cut at a time.
Today his work has been under runway lights, on billboards, in magazines, commercials, live TV, and sporting events, in the city for people who dare to be great. Now he's one of the names people ask for by name. When you're sitting in the Blacklaces chair, you get the same standard those rooms demanded, and the same attention he gave the first head he ever cut in that garage.

I've been going to Alex for over 6 years and he's easily one of the best barbers in West Hollywood. His fades are always clean, the attention to detail is top tier, and every cut is consistent. I've been getting my hair cut by Alexis for 2.5 years now. For starters, I have never got a bad cut. There have been so many times I've come in feeling down about my hair or how I look, and every time Alexis gets me right and I leave happy and feeling great. Although he is extremely busy, he still finds time to be flexible given various life circumstances. He always brings amazing energy, a positive outlook and genuinely cares about you as a human being. I've been getting skin fades for years, and I'm very particular about having a consistent barber. I originally found Alex online and appreciated his portfolio. After giving it a test, I can definitely say that I am extremely happy with the cuts. He takes the time to explain his thought process and why he is taking a certain approach. My hair grows back quickly, but Alex's cuts keep the skin fade for as long as possible. I'd highly highly recommend him.
